Christmas Hamper Campaign
The Salvation Army Christmas Hamper program partners with over 50 community based organizations, groups and churches to ensure individuals and families throughout greater Kingston are supplied with the food needed to prepare a festive Christmas meal.
Throughout the month of November and the first week of December, qualified individuals may complete an application at one of the participating agencies, groups, churches or at our Community and Family Services office at 342 Patrick Street.
Households who have children up to age 12 will be automatically entered into the Toy Drive. Youth ages 13 – 16 will receive a $25.00 gift card.

This program works in tandem with the Christmas Basket Program and allows members of the community to have a hands on approach to Christmas Hampers. Sponsorship provides individuals, community groups, organizations and businesses with an opportunity to work directly with applicant families by purchasing the food basket contents and delivering to the applicant’s home.
For privacy reasons, applicants who do not wish to take part in the sponsorship program are able to indicate this on the application.

Christmas Hamper Fundraising Campaign
The Christmas Hamper Campaign is coordinated through The Kingston Whig Standard and The Salvation Army Community and Family Services, Kingston Citadel. The campaign runs from mid-November through the end of December. Donations may be received by mail or in person at The Salvation Army Community and Family Services office located at 342 Patrick Street Kingston ON K7K 6R6. Credit card donations are accepted as well.
All proceeds from the Hamper Campaign go directly towards the operating expenses of the Christmas Hamper program. Donors are acknowledged in the Kingston Whig Standard every Wednesday and Saturday throughout the campaign.
